Job Description:

To be able to serve Medline s Operations division by providing timely and accurate data, process and system analysis for improving warehousing and transportation efficiencies. The ideal candidate should be an experienced Systems Analyst with about 5-7 years of experience

Primary job responsibilities:

• Work closely with the business community to perform functional analysis for designing solutions, evaluating options that include but are not limited to: new program development, configuration of existing systems, business process redesign, new package/ system evaluation or a combination of these options.

• Understand options to evaluate multiple options and recommend the best course of action based on requirements coverage and effort required.

• Develop expertise with data collected and processed by the transportation management system (TMS), warehouse management system (WMS), and the labor management system (LMS).

• Serve as a IS point person for addressing issues and enhancements related to the specific product and functional area.

• Provide SME support to the Support teams on any critical production issues

• Work closely with business users to determine business requirements and translates them to system requirements.

• Responsible for making software configuration changes to support business processes.

• Consider data sensitivity and process control to determine security and user authorization impacts. Works with manager and with corporate auditing to ensure that access to systems and data are authorized only to the proper people.

• Create business process designs (BPD) and business system designs (BSD) that meet the business needs, adhering to departmental documentation standards.

• Deliver program requirements to developers and serve as the developer s point of contact for clarification and follow-up throughout the development process.

• Develop and execute test plans to insure high quality system implementations.

• Responsible for managing conversion and/ or implementation plans for TMS, WMS, and LMS.

Required Skills / Experience:

• Total Experience : 8 10 years with Relevant Experience of 6 8 years as an Systems analyst in a Complex Integrated Multi component systems landscape

• Preferred Experience in Logistics or Warehouse Management processes/ systems and with mainstream COTS TMS/ WMS products (like Manhattan Associates, Red Prairie) and or Bespoke systems

• Highly proficient in SDLC lifecycle processes and deliverables including: Requirements gathering, System & Data analysis, Software Design, Test planning and Execution.

• Strong understanding of Object oriented software programming and database management systems from system analysis perspective

• Strong organization & leadership skills to own and get developed enhancements

working with varied technology groups

• High learning ability. Position will require learning new business, functional and systems processes in a short period of time

• Strong and polished English communication, both written and oral, with a proven track record of working with Onsite business and technical team members

• Desired/ Preferable Skills:

• Understanding of PL/ SQL and Java

• Exposure to ERP systems
