Job Description

Medline India has an immediate opening for a motivated individual with Microsoft SQL Server experience to complement the application development team in the maintenance and development of existing and new Microsoft SQL Server based applications
Some of the responsibilities are:

  • Create complex queries on large data sets
  • Create stored procedures, triggers, and functions
  • Analyze trends in key metrics
  • Generate code to extract, transform and load data from production data sources to the data warehouse
  • Performance tuning of key queries.
Qualifications Required
  • BS in Computer Science or related field
  • 3 years of experience in a database development role
  • Experience with MS SQL Server
  • Extensive knowledge of T-SQL language
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services
  • Knowledge of connecting to different data sources via ODBC
  • Knowledge of principles of database design, data acquisition and data access analysis and design
  • Knowledge of stored procedure writing, query optimization, and indexes
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning techniques
  • Strong communication skills a must
Preferred Skills
  • Some exposure/hands on .NET/C#
  • Some experience with cross data platforms like access DB or FoxPro DBFs
  • Knowledge of Excel
