Job Description:

Some of the responsibilities are:

• Understand a complex Logistics & Transportation management domain and systems in a short period of time

• Understand and validate detailed requirements for testability

• Produce test plans and test cases for detailed and high level requirements

• Execute manual testing across multiple systems

• Perform post migration smoke testing

• Accurately assess impact of software defects

• Adhere to IS Department policies best practices.

• Work successfully within an iterative SDLC environment

• Help in root cause analysis of persistent issues

• Maintain and continuously improving a Logistics test bed

• Contribute to the overall body of knowledge on Logistics processes and systems

Skills / Experience:

Required Skills

• Minimum 4 6 years of experience designing and executing test cases for functionally extensive systems across technical landscape

• 2 year degree (or higher) in CS / IS or a related field +2 years related experience.

• Manual Testing Experience in a complex cross enterprise application landscape and processes

• Ability to develop a strong understanding of the domain, business processes and systems which are being tested

• Strong experience in in matured processes of Defect, Release, and Deployment management

• Highly experienced in System, Integration, Regression, Performance/ Load testing,

and conducting UAT with end users and providing Testing estimations

• Should be well versed with QA documentation including: test plans, test scripts, release notes, UAT test scripts, Traceability Matrix, Testing progress reports

• Proven ability to successfully execute multiple QA jobs in parallel and working with Business users, Systems analysts and developers in an onsite offshore model

• Work experience with reputed Test management & Defect tracking tools like JIRA and HP-Quality Centre

• Should have good knowledge about SDLC and STLC fundamentals

• Skilled in SQL tools and ability to write basic SQL Queries

• High learning agility. Position will often require learning new business processes and application landscapes

• Solid verbal and written communication skills

• Must be highly motivated and dependable with excellent communication skills.

Desired Skills

• Testing experience in domains: Warehouse Management, Logistics Transportation Management,

• Testing experience in Enterprise Packaged solutions like SAP or Bespoke application suites in Logistics domain

• Exposure to Test Automation of Standalone and Web applications using tools like UFT and Selenium
