Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Development of new interfaces, products and enhancement of existing products and tools/solutions.
• Design and implement high quality HTML5 based, responsive user interfaces with emphasis on usability and response time
• Build and improve web applications, cross platform mobile applications, and front-end software components.
• Design and development of map-based web and mobile user interface for location tracking and monitoring
• Use BI and reporting tools to design, implement / enhance dashboard and reports module
• Ensure that the long-term architectural and performance strategies are considered with designing and coding solutions
• Driving evaluation of any new technologies and been adopted into actual use for product/platform development
• Write unit tests, automated regression tests for user interfaces and tracking defects as they occur
• Consistently deliver work product(s) that exceed department quality metrics
• Participate in the development of technical specifications for products
• Provide input to architects and product management on issues and concerns
• Support efforts to improve the existing software development processes used by product team
• Stay current on our shared component library to help ensure we are reusing shared components
• Work collaboratively with QA engineers/ Tech Architects through participation in the testing process and review of QA documentation

Expectations:

• Use all the three core technologies viz. HTML5, CSS3, Javascript and Responsive Web Design patterns to implement world class web interfaces
• Be able to write code that is standards compliant, browser independent, device and operating systems compatible, well documented and meets coding standards
• Be able to proactively look out for potential issues so as to minimize customer impact.
• Be able to make quick alterations to customer facing pages as soon as need for changes are brought to notice

Required skills:

• HTML5 Developer
• Custom CSS, Bootstrap & other forms of table less mobile friendly responsive development
• Website Designer & Developer – HTML, PHP (Wordpress would be a plus)
• Javascript / jQuery / Angular / AJAX / CSS3 / MYSQL
• Knowledge of UX principles and best practices
• Knowledge of Mobile development with at least 10 significant projects completed
• Knowledge of full stack web development
• Experience of having worked on a customer facing business/consumer application
