Required skills:

As a Senior Data Scientist , you ll be a part of Medline s large
Analytics group , as a member of the new Machine and Deep Learning practice.

You ll work actively with an onshore team in Northfield , Illinois ,
and will report directly to an onshore analytics manager.

You ll work actively with a team of ML Engineers , Data Engineers
and business managers , and will help create sophisticated machine and deep
learning products with multi - million - dollar impact to the bottom line. You will
own data modeling efforts in this team.

By way of experience , you have worked in advanced machine and deep
learning for at least 3 years , in research setting at a reputable institution
or for a large corporation. You have led at least 2 projects in the past , not
as a manager or consultant but as the core data scientist.

Though modeling is your primary strength and area of
responsibility , you have a basic understanding of big data architecture and
full stack development through collaborations as a Data Scientist.

You are driven to solidly deliver on the promise of machine and
deep learning - by creating high impact solutions improving businesses at a
fundamental level.

MS
or PhD. in Applied Mathematics , Physics , Computer Science , Statistics or
related technical field , from IISc Bangalore , IIT , IIIT , ISI Kolkata , or a
similar reputable school

5 years
of hands - on experience in data mining and predictive analytics with machine
learning / statistical modeling techniques. Experience with data science tools
like Matlab , RapidMiner , AzureML , Java - Weka , R and Python

3
years of advanced machine and deep learning experience. Intimate knowledge of
foundational frameworks like Scikit - learn , Tensorflow , XGBoost , Keras , NumPy ,
SciPy , Pandas , PyTorch , NLTK , MXNet , Caffe , and visualization and scraping
frameworks

Knowledge
of UNIX or Linux environments

Desired Skills:

At
least one research paper presented in a reputable conference , or should have
won a Kaggle contest or a similar hackathon

Experience
in Azure or similar cloud environment - ML Studio / Workbench for modeling , MLVM
and DLVM for training and hosting , and containers for hosting

Basic
working knowledge of NoSQL databases , Apache Spark , Hadoop

Basic
working knowledge of backend framework like Django and front end framework like
Angular

Responsibilities:

Modeling - Own data ingestion
and preparation , feature engineering , analysis and modeling , model deployment ,
performance tracking , and documentation

Modeling
- Use advanced machine learning and deep learning techniques , on structured and
unstructured , text and images based data. Use python as the first
language.

Modeling
- Leverage non - programmatic machine and deep learning where needed - auto
ML / DL , self - service / semi self - service platforms

Pre - Modeling
- Guide Data Engineers to help create complex datasets per specs needed for
modeling - audit preliminary datasets

Post
Modeling - Collaborate with Machine Learning Engineer closely to productize
models - deployment of models as web services , APIs or native class as needed

Continuous Learning
- Stay updated and educated with Deep Learning , NLP , information retrieval
research and applications , and share expertise with the team

Continuous Learning
- Learn new / beta frameworks on the job as needed (e.g. LIME)
