ICRISAT seeks applications from Indian Nationals for the position of Research Statistician who will support and analyze agriculture research data for ICRISAT and its partners. This position will be based at Patancheru, Hyderabad.
1. Requirements: Master’s Degree in Statistics/Agricultural Statistics/Biometrics/Mathematics with strong background in data analysis Related experience of over one year would be an ideal fit for the role Demonstrated ability and experience in Statistical Analysis of data Strong knowledge on Metadata management and Ontologies Knowledge of R / Python / SAS is important Understanding of quantitative genetics & plant breeding is desirable.
2. Responsibilities: Support and help in analysis of agricultural research data from various research experiments of ICRISAT & Partners Assist in training of data curation, applied statistics, statistical computing, Data Management Systems etc.
3. General: This is a Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) position for three years and renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and funding availability, and the Institute’s continuing need for the position.
