Job Description

  • Contribute in defining and ensuring adherence to development standards and guidelines for Logistics teams
  • Work across Logistics teams (including WMS, TMS, Defects), Quality Assurance and Project Management teams to co-ordinate build, release and deployment of enhancements or defect fixes in the Logistics Landscape
  • Contribute in development and utilization of an automated, continuous integration & deployment process that reviews the source code, identifies build errors and notifies appropriate parties to rectify build errors
  • Keep management, other team members and other departmental members aware of obstacles and status changes in a timely manner.
  • Improve productivity by contributing in design and development of full featured build systems, integrated with Automated testing suites and Defect tracking systems
  • Maintains a professional demeanor at all times. Consistently able to interact professionally and work productively with all levels of Medline employees. Follows Medlines Code of Ethics and other corporate policies
Mandatory Skills:

  • 8 + years of overall experience in the IT industry with minimum 5 years of experience as a technical lead, systems analyst, release engineer or architect responsible in enterprise systems application landscape
  • Good understanding and experience in: SQL, Java, Windows / Unix Scripting, Web Services, Middle ware and Enterprise systems like: ERP, SCM, OMS etc
  • Experience in managing & deploying Releases in production, for a multi-application landscape coordinating efforts across multiple technical & functional teams
  • Exposure to defining and auditing SDLC & QA processes & deliverables
  • Experience with defect management tools like Jira for defect/issue mgmt
  • Self Driven work Ethic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills:

Good understanding of the DevOps software development and delivery process including the ability to leverage the appropriate in a CI/CD model Build Automation tools like (ANT or Maven), code repositories like SVN/GIT, CI tools like Jenkins or Hudson
