Job Description

 Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates for an open postdoctoral position in the research group of Prof. Brijesh Kumar working on Correlated and Frustrated Quantum Systems at the School of Physical Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. This is a temporary research position funded by SERB (India) under the Core Research Grant project titled "Investigations on the problem of quantum oscillations in Kondo and other insulators" of Prof. Brijesh Kumar. The initial offer of this position to a successful candidate will be made for a period of one year, which may suitably be extended upon further evaluation at a later stage.
 

2. Eligibility:  PhD degree in the area of theoretical quantum condensed matter physics.  Applicants are desired to have strong computational skills and a keen and  active interest in quantum many-body theory and correlated systems.

3. Emoluments (per month):  Salary (Rs. 47000) + House Rent Allowance (Rs. 11280). No accommodation will be provided by JNU.
