Planning and design of airfield Geometrics & Layout
Study and review of soil investigation report and assessment of CBR and k-value for structural design
Structural design of flexible and rigid pavement for runway, taxiway, turn pads, apron, and shoulders and submission of design report
Producing design and investigative reports related to aircraft pavements, airside and landside roads and associated airport infrastructure
Preparation of scope of site investigation work
Undertaking pavement inspections and preparing report and assessment on the findings
Assisting in the development of proposals and bids for new commissions.
Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering with c. 5 years of work experience in Airfield pavements; post-graduation in Transportation Engineering will be added qualification
Through knowledge of FAARFIELD, COMFA, REDIM, PAVER & also ICAO methods of pavement design.
Knowledge of Pavement materials, their equivalence in FAA, ICAO & Indian Codes/ MoRT & H.
In depth knowledge of FAA & ICAO design standards and recommendations
Knowledge of Airfield geometric designs (2D & 3D ) & Airside Layout
Pavement Evaluation, Analysis & working of FWD
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary design team to deliver projects on time, to budget and to client satisfaction
Ability to keep control in pressed situations, deliver work within set timeframes and contribute to a good working environment
Ability to work collaboratively with fellow colleagues, delivery partners and team members to ensure successful results and effective delivery
A keen interest in emerging trends, developing technologies and evolving best practices to maintain our Client's position at the forefront of its markets
Effective communicator and good level of report writing skills
