Z/OS Db2 Product Line Manager Directs R&D functions to implement corporate, ZSolutions, and Db2 strategy, while optimizing resources to maximize BMC market penetration, revenues, and profits. Manages an R&D team responsible for the development and testing of the ZSolutions DASD Manager Plus for Db2 product. Primary responsibilities for role Provides leadership and planning to ensure products follow BMC strategic direction. Manages the development of new versions, releases, and maintenance to ensure delivery within schedule, budget objectives, and quality standards. Manages the development of technical resources to meet business objectives / needs of a global workforce. Interfaces with all departments within BMC to ensure proper emphasis, knowledge, and representation of products. Provides budget information to upper management for planning purposes. Completes staff assignments as requested by upper management. Researches and evaluates new product opportunities while maintaining timely product and project plans with proper milestones and checkpoints. Plans and ensures product quality improvements. Ensures customer satisfaction. Conducts regular team and status meetings and product reviews as needed as well as ensures that project target dates are met. Requirements Strong experience in Development, Quality Assurance, and/or other technical aligned with R&D Minimum of 10 years experience with at least 2 years of management experience Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience Must have good oral and written skills.
