Job Description

• Integrated Management System - Review and updating of procedures, system implementation, certification & internal audits, management reviews, setting of objectives & targets, UN Global compact objectives, 5S audits in plant, EHS influencing to supplier/ sub contractors.
• Supplier management - Planning of inspection at supplier locations, assessment and approval of new suppliers/ sub contractors. Supplier development through technical support for process improvements and to meet quality requirements. Supplier performance monitoring.
• Planning of incoming, in process and final inspections in the plant. Monitoring of quality performance, corrective and preventive actions.
• Process audits - Process improvements in machine shop & assembly departments through process audits, first piece inspection, product assembly audits. Take improvement action on observations and follow up audits.
• New Product Development/ modification - Participation in design reviews, FMEA, sample approval etc.
• SAP - QM - Implementation and monitoring of quality module
• Preparation of MIS reports.
• Reduction in failure cost arising out of rejection, rework and warranty, through analysis of non-conformities and taking improvement actions.
• Identifying EHS legal requirements applicable for plant and compliance monitoring
• Customer inspection and customer audit.

Required Candidate profile

• Knowledge of manufacturing and quality standards of control valve 
• Knowledge of non destructive testing
• Knowledge of manufacturing process of Castings and forgings.
• Lead auditor for QMS, EMS and OHSAS.
• NDE Level III qualifications in LP, MP, UT, RT, VT techniques.
• SAP - QM module.
• Knowledge of National & International standards.
• Basic knowledge of Mettalurgy and Metrology.
• Knowledge of SQC tools, Product Certification such as CE marking, IBR.
• Problem solving skills, planning & delegation, communication & networking and team collaboration.
