Job Description

Lenskart is looking for a young transformational leader to join us in our Analytics vertical. This role is critical for the growth of Lenskart, given the exponential expansion plans at hand. We are known for our technology-first orientation and customer-centricity, and this position will be the prime custodian for both.
As Head of Analytics, you will have an opportunity to develop the analytics function within Lenskart and redefine commerce in India. This person will lead analytics for all verticals at Lenskart and would be responsible for partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
The Head of Analytics will lead the business through all efforts that drive business performance and potential by using the existing and new data sources and techniques.
The individual will need to fit in well into the hands-on entrepreneurial culture of Lenskart and be a key contributor to its growth. Given the strategic importance of this role, the individual will be a strategic thought partner to the CEO. S/he will be a critical member of the team.

Key Responsibilities :

- You are responsible for bringing to bear analytics tools and techniques to help exceed business goals. This involves managing a team of analysts to deploy analytical solutions for the business

- You will independently ideate, conceptualize, develop and deploy analytical solutions to create a business impact in the function you are responsible for.
- You will leverage business context, analytics, statistical modeling and data science to define the business problem to be solved, develop methodology and roadmap, formulate solution approaches
- Demonstrate excellence in engagement delivery, insightful thought-leadership, strategic problem solving, high impact team management and strong customer relations at senior executive levels.
- Able to understand business drivers for different business units and recommend what should be tracked and how and build systems for the same to ensure maximum efficiency, productivity, and output.
- Understanding the requirement of different business managers - category, product, warehouse, finance, marketing. stores, etc - and then building tracking systems for them via his/her team
- You will manage ETL for us so that we are able to manage our analytics database efficiently in the most scalable and cost-efficient way. This will also involve coordination and working with our tech infra team.
- To transform the user and purchase data into information and then knowledge which will ultimately help in growth.
- Lead and mentor Analytics Managers. Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise analytic managers, project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

Required Candidate profile

- 5+ years of overall experience in Analytics / Business functions
- Degree in Statistics/Mathematics/Economics or any quantitative domain, or MBA from a premier institute
- Proficiency in tools like SQL, Tableau, Omniture, and Excel
- Core expertise in Business Intelligence building and technical knowledge on building automated systems via various tools.
- Ability to work on text insights
- Hands-on experience in gathering, hygiene, and analysis of data resulting in actionable insights.
- Excellent working knowledge and understanding of all key aspects of a typical business - product, marketing, operations and finance
- Excellent analytical abilities : Data-driven with attention to detail. Proficient in quantitative analysis, statistical/data science techniques.
- People management skills : Ability to build, lead and mentor large teams of analysts
- Prior experience in working with senior business leaders and acting as their thought partner
