Job Description

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) is a premier university fully funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India. TISS is looking for six (6) Field Investigators for its ICSSR-IMPRESS funded research project, “Migrant Workers and Urbanisation in Politically Sensitive Areas: A Study of Kashmir & Manipur”.
Under the project, data collection will be carried out in Manipur, and J&K and Ladakh. The Field Investigators will be required to undertake extensive fieldwork in the area of assignment. The positions are for a period of a month (extendable up to 3 months), and carry a consolidated monthly emolument of Rs. 15,000.
Indian nationals with good academic record and a master’s degree in any social science discipline or any allied subject with minimum 55% marks are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to candidates resident in Manipur, and J&K and Ladakh.
