Job Description

Candidate with 4+ years of experience in Installation, configuration and troubleshooting knowledge on different flavors of Linux
Extensive experience with Linux system configuration, optimization, hardening, auditing and automation
Hands on experience on Unix platforms like RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu
Experience in writing bootstrapping scripts, shell scripts etc.
Experience in configuring the middleware applications, services, demons etc. on Linux platform.
Experience in managing the different layers of security and user access management in Linux platform
Must have worked on different layer of permission level at Linux OS
Must have worked on OS level tweaking to optimize the performance
Must have knowledge of troubleshooting applications on Linux OS.
Experience in managing IT environment with 10,000+ user machines
Should be able to own & drive SIP's through cross functional teams
Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments
Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting languages
Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Bind, Apache, MySQL, nginx, etc.
Strong grasp on configuration management tools
Familiarity with load balancing, firewalls, etc.
Proficient with network tools such as iptables, Linux IPVS, HAProxy, etc.
Experience with virtualization technologies, such as Xen
Ability to build and monitor services on production servers
Knowledge of servers and switches
