The Business Intelligence Engineer for Manufacturing Analytics as part of Applied Intelligence Solutions will be based in the GLOBALFOUNDRIES office in Bangalore, India. The Manufacturing Analytics team is responsible for providing business intelligence visualizations for the manufacturing and equipment engineers supporting operations in our manufacturing facilities, primarily in the Northeast US, but also supporting fabs in Dresen, Germany and Singapore as needed. The Manufacturing Analytics team is responsible to conceptualize and provide timely, high-quality solutions that address analytical needs of engineers in a leading-edge semiconductor foundry.
The person in this role will be responsible for the design, implementation, optimization and support of enhancements and deficiency corrections, and will contribute to continuous technical improvement activities and roadmap of functionality and features. You will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated, high-quality data integration and business intelligence solutions that address analysis needs of engineers up to executive management in a modern semiconductor foundry. Being part of a young and dynamic team you will further develop your skills in data warehouse development as well as business analysis for such solutions. Strong communication skills and a process oriented mindset are required. Willingness to provide on-call 24x7 support on a rotational basis is required.
As a Business Intelligence Engineer in AIS (Applied Intelligence Solutions) you will work with internal customers as well as internal and external project partners.
Essential Responsibilities:
Develop business intelligence reports for manufacturing and business teams
Develop high-performance, data-driven systems in a distributed infrastructure
Leverage massive data sets for modeling, recommendations, and insight generation
Mine large data sets to help engineers and business users gather insights and make data-driven decisions
Develop data models for efficient query and BI tool performance
Work directly with project stakeholders and collect business requirements
Work on cross functional global teams to execute on large scale global BI projects
Maintain and support existing BI infrastructure in a highly complex and fast paced environment
Be available for 24x7 support on a rotational basis for manufacturing sites in the northeastern United States
Required Qualifications:
Education/Experience - BS in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent
Years of Experience: 2-4

Experience in SQL
Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts such as star schema and normalization
Skilled in using office software suites (eg. Excel, Power Point, GSuite, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:
Desire to bring data-driven decision-making and analytics to improve our products
MS in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent
Experience with analytical tools supporting data analysis (eg. Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview etc.,)
Proficiency in SQL
Experience designing data models in a DBMS environment
Experience creating database objects such as tables, views, materialized views, custom functions, and stored procedures
Experience using cloud native database technologies (eg. Snowflake, Athena, etc.).
