1. Assistant Professor (Lecturer): Essential qualification- (i) A Bachelor degree in Ayurveda from a University or its equivalent as recognised under Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970; and (ii) A Post-graduate qualification in the subject or specialty concerned included in the schedule to the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970.
2. Experience: For the Post of Assistant Professor or Lecturer: The age shall not exceed forty-five years at the time of first appointment and it may be relaxed for in-service candidates as per the existing rules.
3. Dept. / Subject: Samhita and Siddhanta, Rachana Sharir, Roga Nidan evam Vikriti vigyana, Kayachikitsa, Shalya.
4. Notes : (1) The provision of allied subjects may be allowed for five years from the date of publication of these regulations. (The Gazette of India dated 07/11/2016). (2) The research experience of regular Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) holder may be considered equivalent to one year teaching experience. (3) For the post of Assistant Professor or Lecturer in Sanskrit: M.A. in Sanskrit or Acharya form a recognized Institutions or equivalent with due experience. Preference should be given to those possessing Ayurveda qualification also. (4) The teacher(s) who had been considered eligible in the past on the basis of previous regulations shall not be considered ineligible on the basis of amendment.Priority shall be given to the candidates having Doctoral in Ayurveda.
